Jurgis Brakas to join IOS Advisory Board

We’re very pleased to announce that Jurgis Brakas will be joining IOS’s Advisory Board. Jurgis is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Marist College, where he specializes in ancient philosophy, and in particular on Aristotle’s metaphysics. His work on Aristotle’s theory of forms sheds important light on the Objectivist theory of essences, and his work on Aristotle’s conception of the good sheds important light on the Objectivist meta-ethics. He was active in the original IOS organization, and was the author of its Foundations Study Guide on ancient philosophy (now archived at the website of The Atlas Society). We’re honored to have on the Board, and look forward to working with him.
